My name is Emily.

"These are not books, lumps of lifeless paper, but minds alive on the shelves." When I saw this sign, I knew it summed up exactly why I love reading and writing—it’s a form of communication that can stimulate new thinking, imagination, and memories.
I graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2013 with a B.A. in English/Creative Writing and a Professional Writing minor (which basically taught me how to write for the web and introduced me to all things digital). Throughout my career, I have gained marketing and digital communications experience at a digital marketing agency and large and small nonprofits.
Through it all, I've mastered the art of working through the creative process while meeting strict deadlines. I've learned to savor the high of a new idea while considering the details needed to execute it. I've written everything from blogs, news stories and sales copy to emails, press releases and product descriptions -- all while maintaining an unwavering focus on my audience.
Thank you for taking the time to browse my site. For more information about my education, work experience, and skills, please view my résumé. P.S. Don't forget to check out my blog and poetry!
